In an effort to build capacity amongst black-owned enterprises in the Midvaal area, Lusa Community Chest is presenting a Township Entrepreneurship Training program, with sponsorship from the Barloworld Empowerment Trust. This initiative aims to uplift and equip small businesses with the skills and resources needed to thrive in a competitive market.
Nearly 90 small business owners were interviewed, with 35 ultimately selected to participate in the comprehensive training program. The focus of the training is on personal mastery, financial management, marketing strategies, customer care, and business growth. An essential component of the program includes mentorship from established black business owners, offering participants valuable guidance and insights from those who have already navigated similar challenges.
Throughout the program, monitoring and evaluation processes will ensure that participants are on track, measuring their growth, cash flow, and overall progress. This initiative is a crucial step towards fostering entrepreneurship in the region, contributing to economic empowerment and long-term business sustainability for Midvaal’s black-owned enterprises.
