The Street Store – Shopping spree for free
#streetstore (The street Store is an international movement that supplies good quality used clothing for free to our needy citizens)
“What a joy and privilege it was today to give quality clothing to people who need it the most and at no cost! “ Veronica Cronje, CEO Lusa Community Chest shared the experience of seeing approximately 60-80 needy people shop for free at the very first Street Store in Sasolburg.“How surprised and grateful were the faces to hear that they could choose clothes for themselves and their families for free”, said Veronica.
So many people are suffering daily to make ends meet and it is very seldom that you find someone who gladly shares out of their bounty without expecting anything in return.
Lusa reached many vulnerable families today and it was such a blessing. We are planning to do this again, as soon as our cupboards are full again.
Lusa extends their gratitude to everyone who donated clothing for this initiative and to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to sort out the clothing and who assisted on the day.
We would encourage people to continue donating good quality second hand clothing for the next Street Store. Make our Legacy part of your own.
