Empowering Entrepreneurs in Midvaal: A Successful Township Entrepreneurship Initiative - Lusa

The Township Entrepreneurship Programme, supported by Ingrain, recently concluded with significant success, marking a transformative effort to empower 100% Black-Owned Enterprises operating in the Midvaal area. This initiative aimed to equip entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to elevate their businesses and drive sustainable growth.

Practical and Tailored Training
The programme consisted of eight in-person sessions. These workshops provided practical and hands-on training tailored to address the specific challenges faced by small businesses in township areas.
Participants also benefited from group mentorship sessions facilitated by successful local business owners. These mentorship sessions offered invaluable advice, shared experiences, and networking opportunities that were instrumental in helping the participants build their businesses and strengthen their professional connections.

Comprehensive Learning Modules
The training covered a wide range of topics essential for entrepreneurial success:
Financial Management, Sales Techniques and Pricing Strategies, Financial Governance, Business Growth and Strategic Planning, Marketing Strategies,
Customer Care, Legal and Contractual Knowledge and Personal Development.

Measuring and Celebrating Impact
Throughout the programme, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) assessments were conducted to track participants’ progress. These evaluations measured how well participants integrated their learnings into their business operations and monitored improvements in growth and profitability.
