NPO PROFICIENCY INDEX - Lusa

As part of our ongoing work to enhance communities and restore hope, working towards greater efficiencies and increased sustainability in the Non Profit sector, Kairos Connect along with the Community Chest South Africa national programme office has launched an online proficiency index. The National Proficiency index is an auditing system for non-profit organisations. It is a self-assessment tool that enables comparative national rating of operational performance. It is hoped that this standardised system will find its use as a diagnostic tool for identifying developmental and institution-building needs for non-profit organisations. This innovative assessment tool was conceptualised by Lusa Community Chest and is being rolled out nationally. With donors being more selective this index will assist NPOs in meeting both the sponsorship as well as legal compliance requirements.
